Unfortunately, before the day
even started, the
Lions sustained an injured
player. Just after getting off
the bus and entering the park, a
thrown baseball from an Atlanta
Braves player sailed over the
fence and struck
Nicole Nutter in the head.
Although she didn’t lose
consciousness, she was sidelined
for the day due to dizziness and
a headache. This forced Coach
Salvaggio to make immediate
changes in her lineup. However,
the damage didn’t stop there.
